Hello! I may be new to Helsinki, but as a former pet owner without pets of my own right now, I’d love to keep your pets company while you’re away.

I have years of experience caring for cats, dogs, and horses, and I focus on providing calm, reliable care so your pets feel safe and comfortable in their own home. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need some help! 

My Pet-Sitting Approach

• A meet & greet to understand both you and your pet's needs, including routines, schedules, likes, and dislikes.
• Providing regular photos and updates, so you can relax!
• Showing up on-time, in accordance with our agreed upon schedule.
• Gentle, relaxed interactions with your pet(s), ensuring the their space remains comfortable and low-stress.
• Providing care to as to your specific instructions, including feeding, treats, cleaning etc.
• Scooping litter 1-2x/day.
• Ensuring your home remains clean and tidy for the duration of my visit. 

What I Need From You 

• Likes and dislikes of both you and your pet.
• Detailed pet routine - schedule and food information.
• Contact information for you while away.
• Veterinary preferences and contact information, including 2 emergency contacts.

Avaiability

My schedule is currently quite flexible, as I am not currently working; however, I am unavaliable during these times due to an on-going language course:

• Mondays & Wednesdays - 14:00-16:30

I would be happy to still pet-sit in your home or do drop in visits on these days, outside of those hours!

About me:

I’ve loved animals my whole life and grew up caring for both cats and dogs, learning early on the responsibility that comes with keeping pets healthy and happy. I’ve also owned and cared for horses and a variety of farm animals! 

Having spent time living on a horse farm, I've helped out with daily care of horses, mini-donkeys, a sheep, cows, barn cats, and dogs - supporting feeding, grooming, mucking, blanketing, turnout, minor first-aid, and general care.

I have also had a few pets of my own - two cats, a greyhound dog, and an Arabian horse. Both my dog and horse required a bit of extra support - my greyhound was blind and my horse a senior. I worked my greyhound on voice cues like "step", "wait", and "watch out" to help him safely navigate his surroundings and visited my horse 3x daily for supplemental feedings to ensure she maintained weight throughout the winter. 

Becuase I've had animals with special needs I understand some animals require a bit of extra care, so I typically take a patient approach and adjust to each animal individually to ensure they feel safe and at ease!

Professionally, I bring 15 years of experience in project management, so you can expect clear communication, reliablity, and a high level of responsiblity when you hire me.

Note: As I recently relocated to Finland, I am currently working on my Finnish language skills (A1.1, beginner level)! I am fluent in English, I am happy to accept roles working with familes in ANY language, but want to be transparent. I also do not own a car, but happy to come to your residence via public transportation/bike!
