Hi everyone! I’m Alice, I am 27 years old and here in Helsinki I study two master’s degrees, one in intercultural communication and one in social and cultural anthropology. I moved to Finland in 2019, right before the pandemic started and have been here ever since, I am not planning on moving any time soon. I speak Italian, English, a little bit or Russian and Finnish ☀️

I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs and, I must admit, leaving my family dog when I moved abroad was the hardest thing I had to do. We have two family dogs in Italy, two Basenjis to be precise, Ziko and Nubia. They are highly energetic dogs and have a personality of their own, are definitely not easy to train but we succeeded. When I visit my family, I usually walk them for at least one hour daily. I say walk, but what I really do is I take them to the fields and let them off the leash so they can run (and always come back when called). That is how I built their trust and taught them some tricks.

Here in Helsinki I do not have pets of my own, sadly, and I miss my dogs every single day. Thankfully my previous flatmate had a cat, Nekku, so I took care of him when she was working long shifts at the hospital and took him on short walks when he needed to.

Currently, I work in a restaurant part time and when I am not working I am studying or writing my thesis. It is, therefore, easy for me to take breaks and go for a walk. My walks are normally between 30 and 60 minutes, so it would be lovely to have some company during those times ☺️

I recently moved to Oulunkylä and I live close to a green area. Ideally my walks with your fur babies would be around this and surrounding areas. I prefer to walk in nature rather than along busy streets.

Other than daily walks, I would love to spend time with your pet at my place or at your place for playtime or just to check on them and feed them, although it would break my heart to pay a visit simply to hang out for a short time.

I have experience with cats and dogs, hence I can offer my help if you have either or both 😄
