Hello, we are experienced carers who have two beautiful cats that rule our home in Espoo (02620) for the last 12 years 🐈🐈‍⬛.In total, we have around 20+ years owning pets and 3 years caring for them on Pawshake. About us: Michael and Harri are married and have been together for 12 years, with no children. We both enjoy art, music, cooking, nature and travel.

🐈‍⬛️🚦PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ OUR PERSONAL RULES AND POLICIES AFTER THE INTRODUCTORY TEXT BELOW🐈 🛑

CATS. Our puuurfect services mostly include: 

*Cat visiting (1 x day) Espoo/Vantaa/Helsinki - We travel by bike. Distance needs to be checked before we agree to a meetup. 

*Cat visiting (2 x day) We prefer a more local radius here, so in Espoo/Vantaa or Helsinki (maximum 30 minutes one way) Check the distance by looking at Google maps, our area is 02620 from where you live. Again always feel free to ask and we can check if its possible. 

*Over-night home-boarding (can be further away) - Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa. 🐈🐈‍⬛🛏. 

We also appreciate if a car is available for us to use in the duration of the stay. I have experience with borrowing many clients cars. 

✨️ We make sure that the usual details such as cleaning litter boxes, feeding, watering, brushing and being with them for 30-60 minutes to play or sit depending on their character/stress level and interaction are performed to a high standard that you expect. We are very clean and tidy people. As part of our fee we will do light cleaning, watering house plants, laundry (bed sheets if we stay overnight) and vacuuming, so you come back to a clean home, which is what everyone wants after a trip away.  ❤🏠🧽🧹🌱We can also administer diabetic insulin 💉 💊 and other medication orally as we have a diabetic cat ourselves.

DOGS. As much as we are cat people 🦹‍♂️ We also care for dogs 🐕🐕‍🦺🐩. Michael grew up with dogs during his childhood. Mixed cat/dog households are no problem based on our preferences. 🚨 We can only accept dogs who have been trained on a leash to a satisfactory level by their owners. If your dog pulls excessively on the lead and is untrained, we are unfortunately unable to walk them. We now accept 2 medium sized trained dogs per walk - maximum.  

DOG BOARDING AND DAYCARE. Unfortunately because we have our own pets we cannot take any outside pets into our home as this may cause stress to our cats. 

OTHER ANIMALS. In addition, we also have experience looking after rabbits, tortoises, rats, hamsters, birds🐀🐢 🐇🐤 and guinea pigs as well as tropical fish🐟. So contact if your pet is more unusual also.

AND...Michael can speak Finnish so please drop a message in Finnish also if you want to. Harri speaks Finnish, English and some Spanish 🇫🇮🇬🇧 🇪🇸

OUR RULES AND POLICY. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ. 

🚸PRE-SCREENING: 

For every booking we send out a few questions to the owner before we arrange a meetup on the chat. This is so we can sense what level of service you need from us, how demanding the pets may be, if they are needing extra care, the feeding schedule and how demanding, you the owner is on us. It helps us decide before we even meet if we are already a good fit and our level of care matches your expectations or needs. We then continue to a meetup if the initial screening is fine. 

*We will always communicate with you throughout the trip if you need updates/reports and photos etc via pawshake. 📸 *We can also communicate with you via WhatsApp when the caring is taking place, if its easier for you.

*A booking is only guaranteed if it is paid for through pawshake ahead of time/ or on-time. This is normally after we have a brief introductory meeting at your residence for free. (We drink coffee ☕️)

*Repeat customers do not need to have another introductory meeting with us, unless something has changed with your pets that we need to know about. We are happy to go free of charge to meet up with your pets again, if it makes you feel comfortable,  or to know any changes or anything you wish to discuss. (We drink coffee ☕️) 

WHAT DOES TIMING FOR OVERNIGHT STAYS LOOK LIKE?

On the 1st day we will arrive at your residence ✨️(after 12:00pm or in the evening depending when you vaccate )✨️. During our stay we will spend as much time with your pet as we can and our main focus is on your pets. 

🕰Typically we will feed your cats in the morning when we wake up, *potentially* leave your house during the day, come back for the evening and then feed the cats, as well as stay overnight. We keep your pets wellbeing in mind, but also have work/our own cats to look after. 

⏰️The day looks like this: 10/11:30am to 18/19:00 return and stay overnight. (Around an 7-8 hour gap). Usually a working day. 

❗️We do not do a 24/7 house board (unless we do not feel or need to leave your house). But we always have the option to leave. 

🏖 We may stay all day at your home depending on the location/comfort etc and needs of the pet. We are however not tied to doing this and it's our choice. 

*EXTRA TIME NEEDED BY OWNER  FOR OVERNIGHT STAYS: If you need us to stay longer that day, then it's fine but depends on our own plans. We will try to help you as much as we can.

✨️1 X visit is generally 2 hours more. (Until 2pm)

✨️2 x visit we stay 4 hours more. (Until 4pm)

🤷 How to do this for shorter extended time?

 You can sort this privately with us. It isn't possible to book this via pawshake app. The booking is still valid on pawshake and insurances regardless of any extra time we work more.

🛸Our cancellation fee is semi flexible. We realise cancellations can happen but we plan our schedules accordingly and therefore lost income does matter once we choose to accept a booking as we may have also said we are busy to other inquiries we could have taken. (Please see Pawshakes own cancelation policy). 

🌋Rarely we have had the situation where upon the free initial meetup we are not comfortable to go ahead due to the mismatch of us and the pet we will care for. Due to the pets behavioural problems I.e. biting, excessive barking, excessive displays of dominant behaviour or animal aggression. Even though we know it's not the animals fault, we may upon the meetup decide to not go ahead with it as this will be too stressful for the pet/us/owner. Also the owner can decide to change their mind that day and look for someone else. We will always be open and honest at the meetup about this. 

✂️ (Please note - this has happened before so its good to mention) - We do not like to be "interviewed" for a booking with other people booked after us to be interviewed for the same job. Its a waste of our time travelling to you. All our info is on our profile page, so contact us if your 90% sure you want us to care for your pet. The conversation should flow nicely with trust and be about us getting to know the animals, making sure they are comfortable and as well as the owners getting to know who we are. If their is a mismatch during the meeting then one or both parties can say no without any obligation. No stress, that's life. ❤️🫂

KEYS

*🔑 Key collection must be given by all repeat customers to our home in Karakallio Espoo near to the date of the booking, unless there is an emergency situation then we will come to you, but we prefer you drop the key to us in most situations. 

- 🔑 We also can take the key at the free introductory meeting, which we will keep safe. We will always leave your key back to you in an agreed place in your home. We can discuss what is easier for you. 

* 🔑 We are flexible so if you are delayed back we will continue the service and hold onto your keys, we ask you to come and collect them back from us.

* If you prefer we take the key with us after the care is finished we can do that, rather than leave it at your home. Please come and collect it from our home at the earliest convenience.  

* if you cancel the booking and we have your keys then you need to come and get them from us. 

IT NEVER HAPPENS....BUT NEEDS TO BE MENTIONED.

* If by any urgent emergency (accident, bereavement, death etc) and we cancel the confirmed booking then we will drop the keys back to you so you have chance to find a new carer before you leave.

* If an emergency happens whilst you are away and we cannot continue the care (involving the serious issues above) we will contact pawshake and arrange a new replacement for you. We and Pawshake will keep in touch with you at all times. (See pawshake policy). 

FINALLY...

* We give an small aftercare service, which involves us writing a message to you when your back to make sure everything was OK. 🙏👌
