Hello dog moms and dads!

I can feel your anxiety looking for someone new, a stranger to leave your beloved ones with...

I was blessed with friends and family who were ready to take my puppy when I needed to travel or just be away. My way to repay their kindness is to pay it forward and offer you my assistance.

My name is Anna, I live in Kruunuvuorenranta with my partner. Our dog Maukka is no longer with us and we are happy to offer our assistance and experience/expertise with your doggos.

Originally I am from Moscow, Russia. I moved to Finland more than 10 years ago. Most of my life I spent around animals. We had cats and dogs. My grandma had farm animals. I love all animals but can proudly say that I am a dog person! When I was a kid, we had a Doberman who spent 10 years with us. When I moved to Finland and realized that I had extra time on my hands, I decided to take a rescue dog - my Maukka. He was with me for 10 happy years!

I usually prefer to have a meeting session with dogs and their owners. I want you to be comfortable leaving them with me, so meeting face to face is important. We can discuss all the details, see how they behave around me and my partner, etc.

When I walk with dogs, it is usually an hour. It could be more if the weather is enjoyable, or if we go too far from the house. It can be less if it is raining, or the dog is not feeling like walking long due to age or some other circumstance.

When dogs are with me for a daycare or several days, I usually assess the situation case by case depending on a dog. Puppies might need to go out 7 times a day when adults can have only 2 long walks. With Maukka we usually walked at least twice a day and each walk was at least an hour. 2 hours a day is a must rain or no rain. If you prefer less, it is up to you.

When dogs stay with me or I stay with them we spend most of the time together. I might work but they are with me anyway, unless they want to be in a separate room and walk away from me themselves. :) We all want to be alone from time to time. My own dog was a companion dog. It means that he wanted to go with me everywhere. This is why I took him with me when I went shopping, met with friends, even when I went to lunch. I am comfortable taking dogs with me wherever I go. I taught Maukka to be in public transport and can do the same for your dogs. I can brush them, wash them, feed them, give them medicine, cut their nails if they are calm enough for that, of course, walk & play, even train if they are not used to certain house rules. We do let dogs on a sofa but prefer them to stay off the bed. We have a dog bed, dog bowls, etc. I can send you photos and videos of your puppies while you are away.

I do have a job. Nowadays I work from an office and will start with offering my weekends for a daycare and early mornings / evenings for walks.

P.S. I can pick up and drop off your doggo kids. However, since I do not drive, it will be by public transport. Of course, I can come and be with them at your place too.

P.S.S. Money that I earn from sitting dogs I send to dog shelters and volunteers who rescue stray/homeless dogs. ❤️
